Parents,
January has flown by and here we are in February—I am so thankful for that! Each of you and the staff have been truly amazing. Your support, and the dedication of our teachers and staff, is what makes our school strong. As we move forward, our goal is to slowly return to normal. We want to begin getting parents involved and more connected, so please be sure to check your child’s backpack for announcements and fliers.
As the vaccine becomes available, we sense the green light to get the school on a path back to normal. One of the ways we are starting to implement this is that we are now letting parents come in the front main doors of the church building with our Before and Aftercare programs. We will be conducting a trial run for a couple of weeks; then we will open up the main doors for preschool drop off soon after, with the option that parents can still go around to the back doors of the classrooms if they so choose.
As you may know, I have been burdened to help families equip their children as they grow up in this world. As things currently stand, our kids’ futures are at stake. What we enjoyed growing up may not be available to our children. Our kids are going to have to take the lead in changing the world and we need to equipment them and help them succeed at it; it is time we come together for the sake of our kids and the future of the world. So in March, I will be hosting the class, “Teaching our kids how to Lead”. The class will begin March 3rd and run for 6 weeks from 6:30 – 8 pm, with childcare available through the church. Details will be sent home soon.
The Bible says, “… Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20) It is in this spirit that we continue to walk by faith as a school.
GREAT NEWS!!!! I am thrilled to announce we will be adding 5th grade next year, with the intent to eventually add 6th grade as well. Stay tuned as details roll out. I am so excited for the future of VCA and know that God is on the move with us!!
We are getting excited for our pet parade next month at Living Hope Church. Get your pets ready and start thinking of the costume you want them to wear!!
Moms—we are eagerly awaiting our Moms In Prayer Tea in April. Make sure to save the date and join us for this incredible event!
Dads—as the weather warms up, we would love to have your help with playground maintenance. Come be the superhero your child already knows you are, and help VCA leave a legacy in the community!
Finally, we are getting ready to have a huge Easter program for all parents this year since we missed so much in the fall due to COVID, so get excited—you are going to love it.
Stay tuned and have a BLESSED February!
