Preschool & Pre-KOur preschool programs introduce the basics needed for the six dimensions of readiness: motor skills, social skills, approaches to learning, language skills, cognitive development, and child-initiated & teacher directed learning.
PRESCHOOL & Kinder-Prep
We offer both part time and full time options for preschool & pre-K. Our locations can provide MWF, TTH, M-F, morning, afternoon, and full day options! Classes have low student/teacher ratios and an advanced, yet age appropriate curriculum!

Early Benefits
There are many early benefits to enrolling your child in preschool! Notably, preschool fulfills curiosity which positively impacts academic performance, brain structure, and building desire to learn. Preschool also improves child development by providing physical, social, and emotional activity which builds positive habits, self worth, and good behavior! Finally, preschool provides foundational skills in math, reading, and writing to help increase confidence in learning and give children a head start for elementary school!
6 Dimensions of readiness
1. Motor Skills – physical skills gained in early childhood such as cutting, painting, tip-toe’ing, and more.
2. Social Skills – skills gained from being in social settings and learning how to interact with their peers.
3. Approaches to Learning – giving children the option to learn in different ways, perhaps they are auditory, kinesthetic, or other types of learners.
4. Language Skills – skills in speaking clearly, using their words to communicate what they want or need.
5. Cognitive Development – learning to think for themselves, make decisions, and consciously choose.
6. Child-initiated & Teacher Directed Learning – we use a mixture of both child-initiated and teacher directed learning at VCA.
Christian Education
At Valley Christian Academy we are so proud that we have the opportunity to teach little ones about Christ! At our school we are not afraid to pray with kids, teach them bible stories, and talk about God. Teaching about Christ from a young age is quintessential to their faith throughout their entire lives! We participate in prayer daily, discuss bible stories in class, and hold a live chapel once a week in our multipurpose room.
