In 1999, my husband and I decided to open a part day in home preschool. I obtained a small home day care license and in 2001, I obtained a large license to serve more families in our community. I have director’s qualifications and a bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. In 2011 our school became NAEYC accredited, and now we have over 30 programs serving families of students from preschool-5th grade. It has been an exciting journey and we plan to continue to grow and impact as many families as we can.

With over 13 years of experience in the childcare field, I bring a deep commitment to fostering safe, nurturing, and enriching environments for children and families. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and am passionate about supporting both student development and staff growth. Originally from New Jersey, I have proudly called Colorado home for the past 14 years. As a parent of two and a grandparent to one, I value the importance of strong family connections. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, hiking, camping, and traveling back home to visit loved ones and enjoy time at the beach.

With over 20 years of experience in the childcare and education field, my expertise is working with elementary students. I was born and raised in South Africa, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree. After traveling throughout Europe for five years, I settled in the United States, where I married and raised my two children, Loren, 24, and Michael, 21. I worked at The Vanguard School for 10 years while my children attended there, gaining experience teaching and supporting students from kindergarten through fourth grade. In 2016, I joined Valley Christian Academy, where I worked alongside Renee Green and the elementary team to help develop a strong Classical, Christ-centered elementary program. I also completed the Pyramid Plus for Special Recognition program, through which I earned my Director’s Certificate. In my personal time, I enjoy reading, hiking, spending time with my family, traveling, and being near the ocean.

I have accumulated 12 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, supported by Early Childhood Coursework and an ECE Directors Certificate. Over eight years, I operated my own in-home daycare, where I tought children ranging from infants to Pre-K levels. A Colorado native, I am happily married with two wonderful sons. Our family enjoys various outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, hiking, weekend excursions on ATVs, and paddleboarding. In my leisure hours, I indulge my old-fashioned sensibilities through quilting, sewing, and crafting homemade jams.
