Through structured play, rich language exposure, fine and gross motor development, and character-centered Bible instruction, children grow in both knowledge and Christlike character.

Does Pre-K matter?
Pre-K plays a vital role in a child’s development by building the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual foundations needed for future success. During these early years, children develop critical language, early literacy, math readiness, problem-solving skills, and self-regulation. A strong Pre-K program also nurtures confidence, character, and a love of learning—setting the stage for a smooth transition into kindergarten and beyond.
4 Dimensions of readiness
1. Language and Literacy – Children learn to speak and read by listening to words & learning to recognize letters – we focus on early reading skills in our pre-K classes!
2. Thinking Skills – Children are always thinking and exploring. Their first interactions with the world prepare them for math, science, and more!
3. Self-Control – We teach children how to share, take turns, and problem solve so that they are ready to be good classmates in the coming years!
4. Self-Confidence – Our teachers instill confidence in their students. A confident child is ready to learn, follow their curiosity, and is quick to recover from a mitake!
Christian Education
At Valley Christian Academy we are so proud that we have the opportunity to teach little ones about Christ! At our school we are not afraid to pray with kids, teach them bible stories, and talk about God. Teaching about Christ from a young age is quintessential to their faith throughout their entire lives! We participate in prayer daily, discuss bible stories in class, and hold a live chapel once a week in our multipurpose room.
