VCA Staff

In 1999, my husband and I decided to open a part day in home preschool. I obtained a small home day care license and in 2001, I obtained a large license to serve more families in our community. I have director’s qualifications and a bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. In 2011 our school became NAEYC accredited, and now we have over 30 programs serving families of students from preschool-5th grade. It has been an exciting journey and we plan to continue to grow and impact as many families as we can.

I have over 10 years’ experience working in Early Childhood Education, an Associate degree in Accounting, and an ECE Directors Certificate. I have led classrooms from toddler to Pre-K as well as served as the Assistant Director at VCA. I am well-versed in all our curriculum as well as ACSI and NAEYC. I have two daughters, two dogs and five bunnies. On the weekends I enjoy hiking, spending time with my family and anything active. I have been a part of Valley Christian Academy for 5 years and I absolutely love working at this school and being a part of such an amazing team.

I have been in education for over 5 years! I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Organizational Leadership. I started out as a Lead Teacher and quickly obtained my Director-Large Center Certificate in Fall 2021. I continue my journey at VCA as an Educator and a Director to ensure our students learn about Christ in a developmentally appropriate environment. I also work for StableStrides where we provide mental health, hippo-therapy, and adaptive riding services through horses! It is amazing to watch our Special Needs children and adults grow and adapt through horses! Autism holds a special place in my heart. I have spent the last 4 years being an Equine Caretaker and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I have been married for 10 years and have an amazing son, Ace. If I’m not at work, you will find me outside with my horses and dogs.

I have accumulated 12 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, supported by Early Childhood Coursework and an ECE Directors Certificate. Over eight years, I operated my own in-home daycare, where I tought children ranging from infants to Pre-K levels. A Colorado native, I am happily married with two wonderful sons. Our family enjoys various outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, hiking, weekend excursions on ATVs, and paddleboarding. In my leisure hours, I indulge my old-fashioned sensibilities through quilting, sewing, and crafting homemade jams.
